Free Valuations

If you are considering selling your items and are curious as to their values, then we offer a free pre-sale valuation service, either in your home for furniture or large collections, or at the auction rooms.

If you require a valuation at home, please contact us to book an appointment.

If you wish to bring your items to the auction rooms for a valuation, please phone us beforehand to check that our valuer will be available to see you.

Sale By Auction

If you wish to sell your items at auction you may either :-

  • Bring the items to the auction galleries for a free preliminary valuation and then leave them with us to place in the next appropriate auction.

    We will give you an entry form (which details our terms and conditions), listing the items which you have left with us for Auction with their pre-sale values and, if agreed, reserves.

  • Arrange an appointment for our valuer to see you ( see left ) and then, if required, we can arrange collection of your items using a firm of carriers.

Probate & House Clearances

If you are an executor of an estate and require :

  • probate valuations, giving a detailed inventory of items within an estate including their Probate values.

  • sale by auction of some or all of the items within an estate.

Then Denhams can provide the entire service of

  • preparing the probate valuation.

  • arranging the packing and collection of items ( leaving a property in a clean and marketable condition ).

  • sale of the items at the auction galleries.

Insurance Valuations

With rising crime rates, especially in the area of Antiques and Collectables, it is wise to have an Insurance valuation.

For a moderate fee, we prepare a detailed inventory of all your valuables, or specific items at their current market replacement value.

This information is presented in a typed and bound folder, together with a Certificate of Value for you to pass on to your Insurance Company and, if necessary, we are prepared to deal with the insurance company, to assist in a claim.
